The BCGEU May Not Only Be Full Of Shit…

Did the BCGEU do this?

Did the BCGEU put a new meaning to the concept of the flying squad on Thursday?

Occupy Toronto And The DTES FauxHawk’s Sacred Fire! (Featuring Harsha Walia & David Eby!)

Can You Recognize This Man? (don’t worry, he’ll be unmasked in a moment)

One of my more memorable moments at Occupy Vancouver was the day when two indigenous men from Vancouver’s Downtown East Side (DTES) lit a ‘sacred’ fire in the middle of our camp. I didn’t know it at the time, but both these men had a long history working with Harsha Walia & No One Is Illegal. I wrote one of my earliest stories on this incident- labelling it a sacred provocation

Is No One Is Illegal Organizing A Treasonous Uprising?

Members of the Canadian Auto Workers preparing for NoII’s May Day march…

I’ve been aware of No One Is Illegal (NoII) for a few years now, and I thought it was a strange concept when I first heard of them. A Challenge For People Who Support Black Bloc Tactics

Italiano: illustrazione disegnata di un black bloc
I’ve been researching & writing about Black Bloc tactics for six months now- ever since someone released the video of Harsha Walia viciously attacking Derrick O’Keefe after the ‘Heart Attack’ incident at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. I was disgusted by Harsha’s take in this video- her use of racism, sexism & classism seemed like a wholly inappropriate tactic for someone who claims they fight for Social Justice…
