Blocking traffic on the Cambie St Bridge today…
There’s a march going on right now in Vancouver. Just a few minutes ago VANDU was blocking traffic on the Cambie Street Bridge, carrying a banner saying ‘Homes Not Jails’…
Did the BCGEU do this?
Did the BCGEU put a new meaning to the concept of the flying squad on Thursday?

Jayson Fleury- From Harsha Walia’s Fauxhawk Band
I woke up this morning to find I got a message from Jayson Fleury- you may remember him from my story about Occupy Toronto’s ‘sacred’ fire. If you’ve been around activist circles in Toronto or Vancouver, chances are you’ve run across this guy.
Have a look at his letter, and my response below. This could be interesting…

The first incident of violence at Occupy Vancouver came long before a juvenile kid in the Black Bloc hit a cop in the face with a flagpole, and long before an occupier bit a fireman and another stole a cop’s ammunition during the ‘sacred’ fire incident. It was a seemingly unexpected event that happened at the end of a General Assembly (GA) that was dedicated to discussing how we’d make Occupy Vancouver a ‘Safe Space’.

This is my favourite question to ask Harsha’s defenders. Still haven’t got a valid answer on that. I’m sure she has accomplished something in her career as an activist- but it boggles the mind how people supporting her, when put on the spot, can’t come up with anything! Not even Macdonald Stainsby could do it!

Rochelle Clark (of the Clarke VIP Lounge) & Wally Oppal
It has always puzzled me why David Eby and his NDP crowd appear to be so hell-bent on discrediting the Pickton inquiry. It seems almost daily I see an article of them complaining about competence, sexism or some other reason to attack the efforts of the inquiry.
Perhaps he does this out of genuine care for the families involved- but I just can’t see Eby as being primarily motivated by altruism. After all, he’s a political hack who wouldn’t even stand-up to protect the Occupy movement (which he claimed he supported) from the damages caused by Harsha Walia’s friends in the Black Bloc…

Starhawk teaching us to love each other at the back door of the VAG
Dear Occupy Vancouver,
Remember the first couple of weeks we were together at the VAG? Those days were beautiful, weren’t they? All of the smiles, love and group hugs made living outside in tents worthwhile- didn’t they?

Finally, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time! Other people are beginning to realize that the Council of Canadians are a big problem…

In case you missed it, I’ve attached a copy of Kevin Annett’s response to my latest letter to him. Reading it I am left with little doubt that Kevin isn’t telling the truth. I was honest and fair in my letter and he responded with profanity this time…

All I’ve been asking for is the same as Chris mentions in this video: Transparency, Honesty, and a Rigid adherence to nonviolence. People who are suggesting we support Black Bloc and Diversity of Tactics are clearly working for the 1%. Occupiers! When will you finally understand this!
Please, realize this now- we need to move on and start making a difference!

Sarah Buehler, organizer of the first Vancouver Robocall Rally
One of the first times I realized something was wrong with Occupy Vancouver was an incident I had with Sarah Buehler. I noticed during the planning meeting that Sarah was rather stand-offish when unknown people approached her (hardly the trait of a true occupier), but I had no idea how radical her views would be until a couple of days after we opened our camp.
